Ocean View
The Ocean View Branch Library opened in 1903 on Broad Street near the corner of Capitol Avenue. Between 1903 and 1926 the branch was located first at 379 Capitol Avenue and then at 11 Plymouth Avenue. From 1926 through the spring of 2000, the Ocean View Branch Library was located in a storefront at 11 Broad Street. The new Ocean View Branch Library, at 345 Randolph Street, was opened on June 7, 2000. It was the first branch building to be built in San Francisco since 1969.
