The Golden Gate Valley Branch Library, a Carnegie Branch built in 1917, will be renovated to ensure ADA accessibility and seismic safety. Given the historic significance of the building, preservation will also be a focal point of the renovation. Scheduled to close in 2009, Friends will be fundraising in the community for the furniture, fixtures and equipment.
