2007 Library Laureates- Summer of Love

On April 20th, 2007, Friends of the San Francisco Public Library hosted its 11th Annual Library Laureates Dinner, a glorious celebration of San Francisco’s libraries and literary arts.  The festivities commemorated the 40th anniversary of San Francisco’s Summer of Love.

Each year, the Laureates Committee chooses at least thirty accomplished authors representing diverse literary genres to honor as Library Laureates.  2007 list of honorees included Dave Eggers, Ben Fong-Torres, Joyce Maynard, Bharati Mukherjee, Peggy Orenstein, Richard North Patterson, Amy Tan, and ZZ Packer.
