On Friday April 16, 2010, legends live on at the 14th Annual Library Laureates Dinner!
Join us for an evening shrouded in folklore and myth as we toast the best and brightest Bay Area authors to this year’s theme—Urban Legends.
Come armed with your best stories about the City’s legendary people, sights, sounds and scenes. Is there really a secret Tree Top Deck in the Presidio? Is it true that the granite at the Wave Organs comes from the Laurel Hill Cemetery? Do the San Francisco Brown Twins really wear the same outfit every day? Is the Golden Gate Bridge really re-painted every year? Who is Frank Chu?
Dine with your favorite living legends and swap “friend of friend” tales at this annual literary gala that raises money for the San Francisco Public Library’s education programs.
New This Year!!! Encore Porchlight Performance and Party
For the first time ever, Friends will present an exclusive library after-hours Porchlight performance and party immediately following the Laureates gala and dinner. Join hosts Beth Lisick and Arline Klatte for a late night of intimate stories from a handful of San Francisco’s legendary personalities.
